This is a beginner-friendly course designed to help you build a strong foundation in wheel throwing and become comfortable working independently on the wheel.
We’ll start with the basics: wedging, centering, pulling, shaping and trimming, and gradually work towards making functional forms like cups, mugs and other simple vessels. You’ll also learn the basics of glazing and get plenty of time to practise and build confidence at the wheel.
The course includes:
• 8 wheel-throwing sessions
• 2 glazing sessions
• 3 flexible practice sessions for additional throwing practice
• 4 finished pieces to glaze and take home
• All clay and materials included
Session duration: 2.5 hours
Batch size: 5 students
Prerequisite: None, no prior experience needed
